Chief Executive Officer

Pete joined Pangea in 2009 as the company’s fifth employee and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Pangea Properties. Prior to joining Pangea, Pete served as Vice President at Bernstein Global Wealth Management from 2005 to 2009. He also worked as an associate for Chicago-based private equity firm, Glencoe Capital from 2002 to 2004. Pete started his career in investment banking at Deutsche Bank, as part of the Leveraged Finance Group. He received his B.B.A. from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. In his free time, Pete enjoys fly fishing, hiking, skiing, and spending time with his wife and kids.

Patrick is currently CFO of Pangea Properties overseeing the financial, HR, risk management and investor relations functions of the business. Patrick joined Pangea in 2009 as a Principal in its first fund, Pangea Equity Partners, LP. Prior to joining Pangea, he served as both Director of Finance and Senior Director of US Operations at CashNetUSA, now Enova International. He has also worked in leadership positions for Alvarez & Marsal and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Patrick is a CPA and has BBAs in Accounting and Finance from the University of Notre Dame. In his free time, Patrick is involved with the Notre Dame Club of Chicago and enjoys art, playing guitar, cooking and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Al Goldstein is the co-founder and CEO of AvantCredit.com, one of the fastest growing national online providers of consumer loans. By utilizing advanced algorithms and machine-learning capabilities, AvantCredit offers a unique and highly customized approach to the personal loan process. After securing more than $500 million in funding, AvantCredit was the most funded company in Chicago in 2014. The company has issued more than 90,000 loans operating in 46 U.S. states and in the United Kingdom under the brand SpringCoin.co.uk. Prior to AvantCredit, Al co-founded Pangea Properties, a private REIT invested in distressed and value-add multi-family properties in the Chicago, Indianapolis and Baltimore markets. Al was co-founder, President and CEO of CashNetUSA, now Enova International, from 2004 until 2008, after selling to Cash America International in 2006. Prior to that, he was part of Deutsche Bank’s Leveraged Finance practice in New York and worked on various secured and unsecured leveraged debt transactions. Al is also an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and America Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and spends time mentoring young entrepreneurs. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a Mathematics Minor from the University of Illinois where he graduated with High Honors and is a CFA charter holder.

Since 2008, Non-Executive Chairman of The PrivateBank and Trust Company – Chicago (a financial services company) and Chief Executive Officer of Norman Bobins Consulting, LLC (a financial consulting company). From May 2007 until October 2007, Chairman of the Board of LaSalle Bank Corporation. From 2002 to 2007, President and Chief Executive Officer of LaSalle Bank Corporation. Other current public company directorships: Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc. and PrivateBancorp, Inc. Other public company directorships held in the past five years: AGL Resources Inc., Aviv REIT, Inc., Nicor Inc. and SIMS Metal Management Limited. Director Qualifications: The Board of Directors concluded that Mr. Bobins should serve as a director of the Company based on his 45 years of banking experience, his financial and accounting knowledge, his service as a director of other public companies, and his civic involvement and business acumen as a director of numerous not-for-profit organizations.

Eric M. Rychel

Eric M. Rychel currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Pike Corporation, a leading provider of turnkey engineering and construction solutions for electric and gas utilities, as well as telecommunications companies. Mr. Rychel was previously senior vice president and Chief Financial Officer at Aleris with responsibility for treasury, strategy, corporate development and investor relations. Mr. Rychel also held the position of managing director in the Industrials Group at Barclays Capital, Inc., where he initiated its Metals industry banking effort as the global head of Steel and Metals corporate finance coverage. Prior to that, Mr. Rychel was a managing director at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., from 1998 to 2009, where he ran the Metals industry investment banking effort. Mr. Rychel began his career as an analyst at LSG Advisors, an M&A boutique and predecessor to SG Cowen. Mr. Rychel has a bachelor’s degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jared Hade

Board Member

Jared Hade is the Chief Financial Officer at BAM and is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Jared oversees the Corporate Strategy, Treasury, Portfolio Finance, Accounting & Tax groups at BAM. He joined the firm in June 2006 as an Analyst managing allocations to external Hedge Fund Managers. Prior to BAM, his experience includes many years within private equity and corporate finance for various companies in Chicago, including Merrill Lynch, Arthur Andersen and Invenergy. Jared received his Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.

Pamela Daniels-Halisi

Pamela Daniels-Halisi is Managing Director of Community Lending at BMO Harris Bank, N.A. and President of BMO Harris New Markets Fund, LLC.  She is passionate about encouraging investment in urban neighborhoods and increasing affordable housing opportunities throughout the community.  Prior to her current position, she held leadership positions in Community Development Lending and Investments at The PrivateBank, Bank of America and LaSalle Bank, N.A. Raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Daniels-Halisi attended University of Tennessee and Indiana University where she received a B.S in Business Administration and a M.B.A, respectively. She serves on the board of directors of Leap Learning Systems, Business & Professional People for the Public Interest (BPI) and co-chairs the Housing and Community Development Committee of Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC).
